She is located on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas, also known as Hamilton, Ontario.
Her experience living on the margins of society fuels a deep commitment to addressing systemic inequities and injustices. Kim advocates for harm reduction and trauma-informed practice, viewing them as revolutionary approaches to navigating the complexities of our humanity.
As co-founder and former Executive Director of the National Overdose Response Service (NORS) and Grenfell Ministries, she led the development of Canada’s first virtual drug consumption service and the first substance use management program to utilize all modalities of wellness.
