Aïssata is an implementation and management strategist living and working—most of the time—in Montreal, situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka nation. She is passionate about using evidence-based interventions to improve wellbeing, safety, and health access equity for individuals with health vulnerabilities.

She brings expertise in all of the behind-the-scenes pieces that make research possible, from building strategic alliances with government, healthcare, and community organizations to working with pharmaceutical companies to ensure ethical collaboration and access to study medications. Versatile, she is able to design and build programs, support successful funding applications, manage research projects, and steward implementation.

A solution finder, Aïssata has a skillset for developing corporate governance principles, promoting safe work places that integrate equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels, and motivation efficient team dynamics.

Recent highlights of her work include contributing to changes to federal policy on addiction treatment, impactful COVID-19 initiatives to improve access to opioid agonist treatment, and working with stakeholders to increase access to take-home naloxone.
