Rory Marck is a Settler of mixed European descent who grew up in Treaty 6 Territory in what is now called Edmonton, Alberta. Rory is now living and working on the unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples for the past 20 years, focusing her work on community development, harm reduction, and health equity.

Cultivated through a combination of frontline, academic and organizational experience, Rory brings an interdisciplinary and intersectional lens to her work, with a passion for community engagement and capacity building. Rory has extensive experience working with non-profit organizations in roles including community-based research, program development and implementation, report and grant writing, and stakeholder relations. Previously, Rory has worked as a Case Manager in supportive housing, a creative writing Workshop Facilitator at community drop-ins in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and spent many years in the community service industry.  

 In her fleeting spare time, Rory enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, cycling, camping, and hanging out with her dog, Indy.
